Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez began his studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his degree in biology. Dr. Alvarez went on to graduate from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2000.

Dr.Alvarez graduated with research honors and is a member of the El Paso District Dental Society where he was named president for the year of 2008-2009. He is also a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Alvarez became interested in Dentistry at a very young age. He was intrigued by his personal experiences with his own dentist. His personal goal is to provide the best care possible for all his patients.

He is a native of El Paso and chose to stay here with his wife Alejandra and their daughter Isabella.

Dr. Alvarez had been previously located at 10978 Montwood Dr. which was previously named Alvarez Dental. He established Vista Hills Family Dental in January 2009. He is currently located on the east side of town at 1713 Weston Brent Lane in EL Paso, Texas.

Dr. Yvette Alvarez-Davis began her studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio where she was accepted in the Dental Early Acceptance Program. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Alvarez-Davis interest in dentistry began as a child while watching her mother, who was a dental assistant for many years, and growing up around dental offices. Providing her patients with preventative care and oral health education is very important to her, and as a Mom, she has a special interest in Pediatric Dentistry.

She was born and raised in El Paso where she attended Eastwood High School. She now resides in Las Cruces New Mexico with her husband Edward and 6 year old son Ezekiel.

Dr. Alvarez-Davis is proud of her heritage and honored to have been born and raised in El Paso area and is a member of the Hispanic Center of Excellence.

Dr. Alvarez-Davis is also the sister of Dr. Jose L. Alvarez and joined Vista Hills Family Dental in March 2009, which is located on the east side of town at 1713 Weston Brent Lane in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Thomas G. Marino began his studies in Boston, Massachusetts at Northeastern University where he graduated and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1979. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1983.

Dr. Marino received his specialty certificate in Endodontics from the Post-Graduate Dental Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 1999. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics as well as the American Dental Association. He is a board eligible Endodontist and has published in the the Journal of Endodontics. He is also a member of the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit.

Dr. Marino's interest in Dentistry began at an early age by the influence of his own dentist. His personal goal is to always treat his patients with compassion. He believes you should always "do the right thing and have fun doing it."

Dr. Marino was born and raised in Boston. He now resides in El Paso with his wife Linda, their three children Christopher, Bianca, Adam, and two dogs, Lucky and Chico.

Dr. Marino joined Vista Hills Family Dental in March 2009 which is located on the east side of town at 1713 Weston Brent Lane in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Anthony Koagel began his studies at the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1999. He then received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry in 2003.

Dr. Koagel took advanced training at Pankey Institute. He is a member of The Texas Dental Association the American Dental Association as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been a member of the United States Army Reserves since 2006 and currently serves as a captain.

Dr. Koagel would like to continue taking advanced training in all aspects of General Dentistry. He emphasizes in oral surgery, fixed prosthodontics, and operative dentistry.

He was born in Ocala, Florida where he married his wife Dr. Susie Koagel who is an Endodontist at the dental clinic at Fort Bliss Texas. They now reside in El Paso with their two daughters.

Dr. Koagel joined Vista Hills Family Dental in March 2009 and is located on the east side of town at 1713 Weston Brent Lane in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Marcus Lastimado began his studies at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. At the top of his class, he was accepted early into the College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2007.

Dr. Lastimado has taken advanced training in 3D CAD/CAM CERAC dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, El Paso Dental Society, as well as the Texas Dental Association.

Dr. Lastimado continues to advance his knowledge and training in all aspects of General Dentistry through continuing education in the areas of cosmetic Smile Designs, fixed prosthodontics, operative and 3D CAD/CAM Dentistry. Currently, he is one of 20 dentists nationally to be accepted into the Academy of General Dentistry- Mastership Tract Program at the University of Florida.

Dr. Lastimado and his wife have found El Paso to be a great place to settle down and raise a family. His focus is to provide the best in quality customer service dental care at Vista Hills Family Dental.

Dr. Kirby S. Kjar began his studies at the University of Utah where he received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology in 2000. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Kjar received his specialty certificate in Endodontics from the Post-Graduate Dental Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Gordon, GA in 2007. He won first place in the, MG Joseph L. Bernier Research Award while in his residency. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Kjar is a Board eligible Endodontist and has published in the Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. Kjar believes quality compassionate care is quintessential to the practice of dentistry. A microscope is used for all Endodontic procedures to help ensure this quality care is achieved.

Dr. Kjar was born in Utah, but grew up in Wyoming and considers this home. He resides in El Paso with his wife Dani, and three children, Jackson, Carson and Landon.
